HOW TO STAY HEALTHY WITH A BUSY SCHEDULE

Between juggling work, family, your new fiancĂ© and planning a wedding, it can be really hard to stay healthy and workout regularly with a busy schedule.  After all, who has time to hit the gym when you have work in the morning, meetings with the caterers, the florists, the wedding planner,  and oh yeah, you still have to make dinner.

With so much to do it can be tough to stay on track with your health goals. With a little effort and planning, however, you CAN create habits that will not only help you achieve your best bridal body, they can also help you stay healthy and fit after the wedding and honeymoon are over.

Plan & Pack Your Meals.
It’s easy to fall victim to fast food, vending machines and overall bad eating when you’re on the go (or just plain tired) and don’t necessarily have time to make a healthy meal three times a day. Planning and preparing your meals in advance, however, makes eating healthy a breeze.

Designating Sunday evenings (or whatever day works best for you) to planning and preparing your lunch and dinner meals for the week makes life so much easier and less stressful throughout the week.

Keep Healthy “On-The-Go” Snacks in Your Bag
With a busy schedule, having healthy “on-the-go” snacks are great for curbing your appetite between meals and giving you a little extra fuel while tackling everything on your to-do list.

Morning Workouts
There are many reasons why working out in the morning is the best choice, especially when your schedule is packed. Not only does it keep your metabolism going and help you feel good throughout the rest of your day and, it’s one less thing you have to squeeze into your already full schedule. And with your wedding day approaching, no doubt you want to look and feel fabulous in your dress so this is not the time to skip your training time.

Drink Water Throughout The Day
For some, drinking enough water each day is a total chore but staying hydrated is a really important part of staying healthy and losing weight. Confusing hunger for thirst is a very common way people tend to sabotage their fitness goals. Drinking water can help curb your cravings, control bloating and boost your metabolism.

Adding lemon is great for adding flavor to your water, fighting cravings, flushing toxins out out of your bloodstream for clear skin and helping to decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Drinking plenty of water also helps alleviate headaches.

Get Plenty Of Sleep
No matter how busy your schedule may get, it’s important that you make sleep a priority. Getting enough sleep is vital to your weight loss for three reasons. First, it’s important to allow your body to rejuvenate and refresh so you have the energy to do the things you need to do the next day.

Secondly, have you ever noticed that the longer you stay up the more snacks and food you crave? That’s no coincidence. When your body is tired, it produces more gherlin (a hormone that makes you want to eat) in hopes that you will eat something so it can turn it into energy to stay awake.

Lastly, when your body is exhausted your metabolism slows down. NOT ideal for burning calories.

Find Ways To Move Throughout Your Day
Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk to lunch instead of driving. Take your dog for a walk. Go for a quick run around the block. It doesn’t have to be a lot. The point is just to get your heart rate up and burn a few calories in the process.

Celebrate Your Progress No Matter How Small
It's really important to pay close attention to your body as you make changes to your diet + workout and celebrate your progress. Noticing the differences helps you to see that your hard work is paying off and helps you to stay motivated and excited to keep seeing changes.
